Behold the water jet process in all its majesty and wonders!! Ever wonder how the water jet process works?? Click on “Read More” down below. . .

What is a waterjet cutter?

Waterjet Stream

A waterjet machining center utilizes an extremely high pressure beam of water to erode a narrow path in the stock material of choice. However not all materials can be cut quickly or accurately with water only. To allow for a wider range of materials to be cut, such as steel, aluminum and other metals, a granular abrasive material is introduced to the high pressure beam of water which greatly increases the cutting power. Think of it as “liquid sand paper” that actually does the bulk of the cutting.

What materials can be cut?

Below you will find a list of common materials that can be cut via the water jet process, even if it’s not listed, there is a good possibility that it can be cut! Have an odd material cutting request? Reach out to us to see if it’s possible, as there is a very good chance that it is!

  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Carbon fiber
